We are reviewing a new product via one of our LLU providers and are looking for trialists.
Customers on our Pro 1, 2 or 3 products are eligible for a free regrade to the service. If you are on any of our other products, there is no LLU migration charge for moving over to the service - which is a saving of £40.
This offer is also open to inbound migrations from other ISPs that are joining us for the first time.

After some very valuable feedback from some of our existing customers, we’ve released our SMS usage alerts to all existing customers.
To setup an alert, login to My XILO, click ‘Your Broadband’ on the right menu, and then ‘Usage Notifications’.
At the bottom of the page, you can enter your mobile number and the frequency you’d like to receive your notifications.
You’ll get a text, such as that one below once you reach 95% of your usage which will be sent between 9am and 10pm.
If you experience any problems in using this facility, please do let us know by submitting a broadband support ticket.

Over the past few days, there has been increasing interest in several rumours of an exploit with OpenSSH older than version 5.2.

Until we can confirm or deny these reports, or verify the claims, we have taken the immediate decision to lock down SSH access to our servers - for security.
This means that SSH access to any of our shared, reseller or premium hosting servers has been blocked at our firewalls.
Self-managed dedicated server, VPS and colocation customers are advised to take immediate steps to firewall their servers to prevent any malicious activity. Managed dedicated customers will be reviewed on a case by case basis by our support teams.

After several months of planning, development and testing, XILO Communications Ltd., are pleased to announce a range of broadband products for home, office and ‘pro’ users.
As more people are using the internet in their daily lives, the need for a fast and reliable connection is higher than ever. BBC iPlayer has now started offering high quality streams that some broadband providers simply cannot cope with at busy times.
All of our home packages, offer a downstream line rate of up to 8Mb with an upstream rate of up to 448k. This is based on BT IP Stream Max.
Office packages also offer a downstream rate of up to 8Mb, with higher upstream rate of up to 832k. Office products have higher priority within the BT network, and are based on BT IP Stream Max Premium.
Our Pro products offer downstream rates of up to 16 and 24Mb via ADSL2+ technology (a ADSL2+ router is required), and an upstream rate of up to 1Mb. These products are delivered via LLU, which means there is no BRAS profiling.
All products include generous usage allocations and a number of our LLU products have unmetered usage allowances.
We’re very excited to be launching these products and we’ll be gradually adding more detailed information to the site over the coming weeks with some of the new control panel functionality such as SMS and email usage alerts, self-serve reverse DNS management and remote firewall administration.
